Dynasty Players to Buy, Sell & Hold: Week 10 (2022 Fantasy Football)

Dynasty Players to Buy, Sell & Hold: Week 10 (2022 Fantasy Football)

It’s already Week 10 of the 2022 NFL season and the fantasy football playoffs are just around the corner. At this point, you’re either a contender, fighting for a playoff spot, or looking ahead at the 2023 rookie class. If you’re a veteran dynasty player, you’re looking to win now and are also keeping tabs on future rookies at the same time.

Regardless of your position, here are some players you need to consider buying, selling or holding in your dynasty leagues.

Derrick Henry (RB – TEN)

FantasyPros Dynasty Ranking: RB16

One of the most popular sell-high candidates you see just about every year is Derrick Henry. He just continues to produce, regardless of the crazy amount of work that he gets. He’s currently the RB1 in Standard scoring and RB3 in PPR, despite already having his bye week in Week 6. Henry is 28 and if you see a team that’s not quite winning now and they have Henry, he might be worth trying to buy into and win now with.

The Titans are going to just run Henry into the ground as we’ve seen them give him 30+ carries twice this year already. He’s well on his way to another season with 300 carries. Furthermore, starting in Week 14, Henry gets the Jaguars, Chargers, Texans, and Cowboys for the fantasy playoffs. Don’t be afraid to buy into an aging running back in Henry and get yourself a championship.

Verdict: Buy/Hold

Devin Duvernay (WR – BAL)

FantasyPros Dynasty Ranking: WR100

Coming into the season, the Baltimore wide receiver to have on your team was Rashod Bateman. He’s the most talented wide receiver and best option (outside of Mark Andrews of course) after Marquise Brown was no longer in the picture. Unfortunately, Bateman missed time as early as Week 4 and never saw the field for more than 66% of the offensive snaps all year. Then he injured his foot against Tampa Bay in Week 8 and has been placed on Injured Reserve.

The next wide receiver up has been the third-year speedster, Devin Duvernay. He’s quietly having a nice breakout season and is the WR35 in PPR leagues. Lamar Jackson is putting up excellent numbers and looks like he’s improving as a passer. Duvernay is a solid Flex player or WR4 to have on your dynasty teams. He might be a bit unpredictable, but the Ravens are starting to get him more involved in the offense.

It also helps that the Ravens have one of the easiest fantasy playoff schedules on paper, getting the Steelers, Browns, Falcons, and Steelers again for Weeks 14 through 17 of the fantasy playoffs. Most dynasty managers probably aren’t convinced Duvernay is much of anything, making him a wide receiver that you can likely acquire for fairly cheap. At WR100, he’s still clearly not getting any love, making him an inexpensive buy.

Verdict: Buy/Hold

George Kittle (TE – SF)

FantasyPros Dynasty Ranking: TE4

At one point in time, George Kittle was considered one of the top tight ends in dynasty football. He’s still a very talented player but unfortunately has been dealing with many injuries over the last few years. It feels like Kittle has been in the league a lot longer than he has, as he’s 29 years old and this is his 5th season in the NFL. He might have a lot of football left in him, but the injuries are enough of a concern that I’m considering moving on.

Coming off of two straight weeks with a touchdown, I’m using this time to get out while he’s hot. What’s probably even more of a selling point right now, is that he’s healthy and appears to be back to full strength. He’s also got a tough playoff schedule consisting of the Buccaneers, Seahawks, Commanders, and Raiders. I’d much rather have Dallas Goedert straight up, who is ranked one spot lower than Kittle in our dynasty rankings.

Verdict: Sell High

Aaron Rodgers (QB – GB)

FantasyPros Dynasty Ranking: QB18

This last one might be a bit of a “free space”, but it’s time to get out on Rodgers if you still can. No, you’re not going to get a ton back for him, but in your Superflex or 2QB leagues, quarterbacks will always carry a bit more trade value. Rodgers is not himself and the Packers may have just lost Aaron Jones for a few weeks.

The Packers have their bye week in Week 14, then they play the Rams, Dolphins, and Vikings. Rodgers is hardly even worthy of a starting spot at this point and you definitely won’t want to use him in the fantasy playoffs. This could also very well be his last year in the NFL. Get what you can, even if it’s not selling “high”.

Verdict: Sell
